About

I am a recent PhD in Philosophy (Leeds 2021), having worked under the supervision of Prof Helen Steward and Dr Léa Salje.

My current research is primarily in metaphysics, beginning in ontology and extending into powers, causality, laws, and ultimately philosophy of action and mind. Related to these areas, I have burgeoning interests in a number of questions in philosophy of science.

I also have significant long-term interests throughout ethics, from metaethics to applied (and including social and political philosophy), as well as certain areas of epistemology. My teaching competencies are likewise broad.

I grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, and did my BA in Politics and Philosophy in the Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed an MA in Philosophy at Florida State University, with focuses in the metaphysics of action and ethics.

Outside of my academic work, I enjoy frequent treks into the British countryside, photography, and playing softball.
