My research is primarily in metaphysics, beginning in ontology and extending into powers, causality, laws, and ultimately philosophy of action and mind. Related to these areas, I have burgeoning interests in a number of questions in philosophy of science.
I also have significant interests throughout ethics, from metaethics to applied (and including social and political philosophy), as well as certain areas of epistemology. My teaching competencies are equally broad.
I grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, and did my BA in Politics and Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed an MA in Philosophy at Florida State University, with focuses in the metaphysics of action and ethics.
